Shinya is the "baby" of the group being only 26. He is extremely quiet and serious, which makes him an easy target for Die's teasing. He is also very secretive and it's hard to learn anything about him. It took the others in Diru 6 months before they learned that Shinya DID have a phone and it's number. WOW!!! Even though he is so skinny and frail looking the others believe he is the most likely one in the group to survive if lost on a snowy mountain. They think he is the strongest one, but it also helps when he is willful and stubborn too. He is an anti-smoker and his idol is Yoshiki from X-Japan (Yoshiki even produced some of their music.) Shinya listens to pop music and even tried to create some music for their band. It's amazing to watch Shinya do the most difficult drumming ever while appearing to sit still with a flat face. His style is that of the lolita style which is very popular.
