Greatest Hits CDs: 2007 marks Dir en grey's 10 year anniversary. In celebration, they have released two sets of CDs. The first one titled DECADE 1998 - 2002 consists of two CDs and 21 songs. The second titled DECADE 2003-2007 is one CD and 18 songs. It was released December 19 so be sure to grab it!

New DVD: Dir en grey will be releasing a new live DVD called IN WEAL OR WOE. Unfortunately it's for aknot fans only. But if you can buy it, it would be a great addition to your collection! It will include clips from the concert/tours TOUR06 INWARD SCREAM, TOUR07 INWARD SCREAM (U.S./CANADA), TOUR07 THE MARROW OF A BONE, TOUR07 THE MARROW OF A BONE -PREMIUM LIVE-, DEFTONES U.S. TOUR 2007 SUMMER with DIR EN GREY and THE FALL OF TROY, Wacken Open Air, Ankkarock Festival, M'era Luna Festival, Metal Hammer Festival and lastly, TOUR 07 DOZING GREEN.

~~~Dir En Grey History~~~

Dir En Grey all started when their original indie band La:Sadie's disbanded on January 15 1997. It consisted of Kyo, Kaoru, Shinya, Die and bassist Kisaki. Kisaki decided to split and they were left without a bassist. They remembered Toshiya whom they have met earlier. In Toshiya's words, he was then kidnapped by them and became their new bass player. Dir En Grey was then born on February 2, 1997. They released their first mini album "Missa" on July 25, 1997. However, it wasn't till they released several singles in '98 that their popularity grew. In August of '98, their single "I'll" broke sales records for indie singles. On January 20, 1999, they released three more singles "-Zan-", "Yurameki", and "Akuro no oka" (which were produced by Yoshiki). That same year they went onto the Sony record label and released their first full album "Gauze" on July 28, 1999. And from there it was history, releasing album after album with no showing of slowing down.
